Two Jade Pieces
2 ¼"H x 2 ⅞"W & 2 ½" x 2 ¼"
Two openwork jade carvings in pale yellowish-celadon stone with russet inclusions: a pierced carving of craggy scholar's rock form; and a shaped plaque carved in openwork with a recumbent deer beneath a pine branch with a bird perched above, pierced through for mounting.
Condition: Very Good. Both carvings intact, with no chips, cracks or losses observed; the fine openwork elements complete. Polish bright overall, with slight dulling and light accumulated dirt in the recesses. Russet markings are natural to the stone, not damage. Minor surface scratches consistent with handling. No repairs noted. Stones not professionally tested.
