20th century; figure of rococo trumpeter, 5 1/2 in. H. and putto, 3 1/4 in. H. From the family and descendents of Charles Potts Talbot (1807-1884) and Harriet Rogers Talbot, of Billerica and Lowell, Massachusetts. Talbot was the founder of C.P. Talbot and Company and, with his brother Thomas, co-founder of the Talbot Mills in North Billerica. Thomas Talbot would later serve as the 31st Governor of Massachusetts.
