jug form with rounded shoulder, runny dark brown shiny glaze, impressed "2" at shoulder, strap handle, flared rim, 13-1/2 in.; small churn form, coarse shiny brown glaze, impressed "2" at shoulder, tool marks to shoulder, flared rim, 13 in., likely the same maker, possibly of South Carolina origin - Provenance: Collection of Dr. Joseph T. and Gaile E. Condition Report: glaze voids and anomalies as made, both with kiln debris, scratches and minor chips to glaze, tape residue to exterior, churn with rim wear and chip, chip to one handle
