Two RS Prussia Lusterware Porcelain Handled Serving Bowls

Two German porcelain handled serving bowls featuring iridescent luster glazes and floral motifs. The first bowl displays a scalloped, ruffled rim with two integrated open-work handles. The decoration consists of a central transfer-printed design of pink and white roses against a cream ground. The rim features radial molded ridges finished in purple and orange iridescent glazes with gilded accents. The second bowl is a larger circular form with a scalloped rim and two integrated scroll-style handles. It features high-relief molded floral and leaf designs, possibly thistles, against a vibrant magenta luster ground. Hand-painted details in green, yellow, and blue decorate the raised elements, accented with gold-toned highlights. The upper section of the bowl is white porcelain with molded floral scrollwork. The base of the second bowl features a printed mark in green and gold. The mark consists of a central evergreen tree icon between the letters R and S, enclosed within a wreath. Above the wreath is a six-pointed star, and below is the word Prussia. This mark identifies the piece as Reinhold Schlegelmilch porcelain. A dark, thin, horizontal mark is also visible on the base.
