19th/20th Century. Two miniature icons, tempera painted, and gold gilt silver oklads with 84 standard silver marks. One depicting Saint George slaying the dragon, stamped "MK" (1 7/8" x 1 3/4"); the other an oval pendant with the Virgin Hodegetria (1 7/8" x 1 1/4"). Overall good condition. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
