Roosevelt, Theodore (1858-1919). A pair of silk menus depicting Roosevelt, both as Vice President and 26th President of the United States. 1901 & 1908. New York, NY. Measuring 5.5" x 8.5" and 5.75" x 8.75", respectively. Evident soiling and darkened handling marks throughout; minor fraying in areas. Otherwise, very good. Please see accompanying photos for additional condition information.

The lot includes:

1.) Menu for a dinner given in honor of Vice President Roosevelt by William L. Flanagan on March 22, 1901. Addressed on front cover to Lieutenant Colonel Clifford Hurry, depicting a circular portrait of Roosevelt above flanked by American flags and a laurel wreath.

2.) Souvenir menu from a meeting of the Italian Chamber of Commerce held in New York on February 29, 1908, depicting then-President Roosevelt and King Victor Emmanuele III. Within shows an ancient Roman relief side by side with a harbor view of New York, picturing the Statue of Liberty. Accompanied by an attached calling card from Antonio Zucca, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in New York.
