Russia, 19th Century. Two icons, tempera on wood, with silver oklads (both with 84 standard silver mark). Depicting the Theotokos, and Saint Demetrius (dated 1867); each in a shadowbox frame/kiot with gilt-painted liner. Condition: the larger icon with fading and peeling to paint, denting and a corner loss to oklad, glass replaced with plastic. 1 1/2" x 1 4/8" (kiot 3 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/2"). 4 1/2" x 4" (kiot 7 5/8" x 6 1/2" x 3 1/4").
