Two Vintage Milk Glass Lidded Jars

This lot features two mid-century white milk glass jars of differing forms and sizes. The larger jar is cylindrical and constructed from opaque white glass. The exterior body is decorated with a continuous black transfer-printed winter landscape. The scene depicts a horse-drawn sleigh, a traditional church with a steeple, various bare trees, a split-rail fence, and several farm buildings. Near the base of one large tree trunk, there is a small, illegible printed monogram or mark that cannot be deciphered as a specific name. This jar is topped with a black ribbed plastic screw-on lid. The second, smaller jar is also made of opaque white milk glass and features a fluted, paneled lower body. A decorative molded scalloped band wraps around the shoulder of the vessel. It is fitted with a pink-painted metal screw-top lid. The interiors of both jars are plain and matching the exterior milk glass color. No manufacturer names are readable on the glass or the lids of either item.Height of larger jar with lid: 4 1/2 inchesDiameter of larger jar: 4 1/4 inchesHeight of smaller jar with lid: 3 inches.
