Two Vintage Pima Baskets

Presented here for your consideration are two vintage Pima baskets. Expertly constructed these two baskets are must haves for your collection. In bold brown against a tan body, one of the baskets is decorated with the traditional fret pattern and the other is adorned with ladder like patterns. The Pima (Akimel O'Odham), who reside in central and southern Arizona, produced magnificent baskets with meaningful designs and patterns. Their finely-coiled baskets are made of cattail or bear grass foundation and closely stitched with willow and devil's claw (for designs). They are some of the most sought after of the Southwestern baskets by collectors. Add this to your collection today!
MAKER: Unknown basket weavers.
APPROX AGE: Vintage (meaning somewhere between 1930s to 1970s).
SIZE: The taller basket measures approximately 7 inches across x 4 1/2 inches deep. The other basket measures approximately 8 1/2 inches in diameter x 2 3/4 inches deep.
CONDITION: Good for their age, normal wear and fading expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
HANDLING: There will be an $8 handling / packaging fee for shipping this lot.
