Two early 19th century gold cannetille, split pearl, turquoise and tortoiseshell brooches, circa 1825, designed as a cross and a quatrefoil.May be worn as pendants.Lengths 7.3 and 7.8cms. 19gms.
Condition Report: Minor dents, scratches and varied discolouration.
Quatrefoil brooch has replacement imitation pearls to the drops. One of the imitation pearl drop fittings to the tortoiseshell is loose, glue at mount, associated scratches to the area.
No apparent losses to the cannetille.
Dents to the bead drops.
Turquoise variously blue through greenish blue hues. Matrix visible.
Split pearls fairly well matched.
Tortoiseshell to cross appears highly polished, to the quatrefoil appears slightly dull.
