the first of ornate design with scrolling acanthus, shells and floral motifs, with a fox head to each side, the carnelian seal intaglio- engraved with an ostrich standing on a torsade with a snake in its beak and the motto 'Et just et vray' [And fair and true]; the second engraved with acanthus and with applied cannetille and two wirework flowerhead and turquoise clusters (a/f), the amethyst seal vacant
the first: height 3.6cm, seal base 2.4cm x 2.2cm, 19.3g; the second height 2.6cm, seal base 1.6mm x 1.4mm, 5.8g
Condition: The first: good condition, seal well engraved the second: part of cannetille work missing. Solder repair below suspensory loop
