Two early Meissen beakers, circa 1730
Each painted in the manner of C.F. Herold with a continuous Kauffahrtei scene depicting merchants and their wares by a quayside, on gilt gadrooned feet, the rims decorated with wide gilt scroll- and strapwork borders, 9cm high, 7.2cm diam., crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, gilt numerals 5.
