England or America, dated 1787 and 1807
The first with scrolling band inscribed, "SARAH. RUSSELL. OB: 24. NOV. 1787. AE: 31," all against black enamel ground; the second, inscribed, "W:L: GILMOUR ESQ: OB: 1. APR: 1807 AE: 45," both seemingly unmarked.

A Sarah Seaver Russell, born in 1757, married prominent Boston merchant Thomas Russell in 1784. She died November 24, 1787, at the age of 31, leaving behind a young daughter.
