Two gold and enamel mourning rings

Probably England, dated 1729 and 1756

The first, set with faceted crystal, with scrolling band with inscription, "ELIZ. WILFORD OB: 30 SEP: 1729. AE: 73," against worn black enamel ground; the second, set with amethyst and seed pearls, the scrolling band with inscription, "MARTHA. GURNEY. OB: 29. MAY: 1756. AE: 51," against worn black enamel ground, both seemingly unmarked.

Ring size(s): 2 3/4 and 5 5/8
