Two ivory export fans. Around 1880
a) Painted on both sides in ink and colours on silk with peasants in a landscape and sparrows by snow-ladden bamboo, the ivory sticks painted in gold lacquer on both sides with a crane underneath plum blossom branches, the outer sticks with herons and magnolia, small inlays of mother-of-pearl. b) The ivory sticks painted in gold lacquer with pheasants and autumn flowers underneath bamboo, the outer sticks with peonies, peach blossom branches and birds, with small inlays of mother-of-pearl and coral. A few inlays missing on both fans, fans can no longer be closed. (2)
