The shaped-square bases with gadroon borders and shell feet, the fluted stems with similar ornament, the removable spiraling foliate branches with central ball finials, engraved with the crest, motto and coronet of Henry William Paget, 1st Marquess of Anglesey (1768 – 1854).

Condition Report:
1784 pair:
Hallmarked clearly to all parts.
The branches wobble slightly in the candlesticks suggesting that there may once have been sconces.
One candlestick leans slightly to one side.

1790 pair:
Hallmarked clearly to all parts.
The branches wobble slightly in the candlesticks suggesting that there may once have been sconces.
One of the candlesticks wobbles when placed on a flat surface.

Provenance:
Henry Bayly-Paget, 1st Earl of Uxbridge, second creation, (1744-1812). He was born Henry Bayly in 1769 he succeeded as 10th Baron Paget on the death of his mothers cousin. In 1770 he changed his name to incorporate Paget by Royal license.
