Each inscribed, "JOHN WEST AR OB FEB 1 1728 AE 40," the name preceded by a winged gold skull, all against black enamel ground, the rings fitted in later black leather case with name under lid: Hopkins & Hopkins Manufacturing Jewellers & Silversmiths...Dublin."
