Signed 'V. Van Dyck', drunken fellow and two chess players in a tavern, kitchen maid in the background, in the spirit or manner of David Teniers II (17thC) but painted later (late 18thC), oil on panel, 25 x 34 cm.
No visible signature, a gentleman courting a lady seated in the company of two other gentlemen outside a tavern, 18thC painting in the manner of David Teniers II (17thC), oil on panel, 32 x 39 cm
The handwritten label on the back of the panel, attributing the painting to Jan Frans Nollekens (1702-1748).
Condition: 1/ The back of the panel is strengthened by a joint. Some pigment loss and surface dirt. The junction of the two panels is visible. In moderate condition.
2/The wooden panel consisting of four boards, each board shows cracks and perforation.
Pigment loss in the lower board. Surface dirt all over.
In our opinion in poor condition.
