Two pairs of Chinese porcelain blue and white 'peony' hexagonal wine cups and saucers excavated from the Vung Tau Cargo, circa 1690, painted with panels of flowering peony blossoms amidst leafy stems, underglaze blue pictorial marks within double ring borders to bases, 5.7cm-9.8cm wide, and a slightly larger, similarly-decorated saucer, 12.6cm wide (5) Provenance: with Christie's Vung Tau Cargo paper labels to bases, that read 'Lot 904' on the wine cups, and 'Lot 907' on the larger saucer.
