Two panels on which 10 anti-Semitic caricatures are pasted - Hand-painted engravings published in France in 1889.
In the caricatures: The Jew as a collaborator with the opposition, the Jew who controls France's large financial companies, Jews with long noses in mocking caricatures, "The Passover Omelette", "Anatomy lesson", and others. Some of the caricatures were even published in the French antisemitic newspaper Le Gerlot and appear here as etchings.
Provenance: The two boards appeared in the "Holocaust and Antisemitism" exhibition held at Beit Lazarus in Jerusalem in the 1990s. Described on their back: "Holocaust and anti-Semitism exhibition Lazarus House, 1991". (The exhibition materials were collected from private individuals over several months).
Etchings average size: 13x10 cm. Two linen panels sized: 50x35 cm. Very good condition.
