The first photograph depicts Dhurandhar in his studio with his wife, Gangubhai, seated beside him. In the background can be seen two of his works. The second, signed by the artist and dated 9th November 1938, was taken as they were about to depart on a tour of Europe, and is a formal family portrait, with his wife, his daughter Ambika, and his nephew Kanayalal (who later played cricket alongside Errol Flynn in the Hollywood Cricket XI).
