The first in okimono style, a large turtle resting, almost entirely enveloped within its carapace, four smaller turtles clambering on its shell, the pupils inlaid and the cord holes ringed with horn, signed in a sunken oval reserve Tadakazu, 5.7cm (2¼in) high; the second three rats climbing on two rice bales, one movable rat appearing from a hole in one of the rice bales, the eyes inlaid, unsigned, 3.8cm (1½in) wide.
