US MILTARY LOT CAP & CARTRIDGE BOX PRAIRIE BELT

US Military lot to include 1) INDIAN WARS RARE MODEL 1879 PRAIRIE BELT W/ LOOPS. An improvement on the ’76 pattern, this belt had equipment rings added to allow the hanging of equipment such as standard socket bayonet with new scabbard for this belt, a trowel bayonet with similar hook hanger, etc., other than the added rings, it is the same belt. The belt is in good condition with soiling and wear overall, mostly soiling giving the belt a great look. The leather is crazed, some dryness, and chipping. Made with 54 loops, in .45 caliber ammunition. 2) CIVIL WAR PERCUSSION CAP BOX. Nice original cap box, complete with wool, and vent pick. Marked US on outer flap. Excellent. 3) NEW YORK M1872 FRAZIER PATENT CARTRIDGE BOX. Inner box, Frazier’s patent stamp and “McKenny & Co/ NY” maker stamp. Of black leather w/brass oval, outer “NG” plate. Wooden insert for twenty .50-70 cartridges. Exhibits slight wear, else excellent condition overall, w/exceptionally fine plate. Superb Frazier specimen. 4) 19TH CENTURY BLACK POWDER FLASK. Brass flask with a heavy chocolate patina is in excellent condition. 5) CIVIL WAR US BELT PLATE OR BUCKLE. Original buckle measuring 3 3/8" by 2 1/8". Slight bending. Very Good-Excellent
