U.S. MODEL 1819 HALL BREECHLOADING FLINTLOCK RIFLE
BY HARPER'S FERRY. Cal. 52. S# NSN. Standard configuration with 32-1/2" barrel and walnut stock held on by three pinned bands. Rifle is of 2nd type having fishtail breech block release. Block is marked "J.H. HALL" "H. FERRY" "US" "1834". CONDITION: good. Appears complete except for missing ramrod. Barrel and action show cleaning to silver gray under a layer of brown grime. Breech block is complete but of a different color; pivot pin shows considerable use. Mechanically good; main spring weak. Bore is good. There are old recoil cracks in stock at rear of action. (01-30242/MGM). ANTIQUE. $1,500-2,500.
