U.S. MODEL 1860 STAFF AND FIELD OFFICERS SWORD

U.S. MODEL 1860 STAFF AND FIELD OFFICERS SWORD, L 30 3/4" (BLADE) A Model 1860 Staff and Field Officers sword having an unmarked and undecorated blade. The brass hilt is decorated with an eagle and standards on one side and a chevron and arms on the other. The grip is ray skin wrapped in brass wire. Overall length of 39".
Dimensions: 39 x 39 in
Condition Report: A small area of loss to the eagle's head on the hilt as well as some oxidation below the feet. The ray skin has a 3" crack running through it. The blade has three small chips but is otherwise in good condition. The scabbard shows surface scratching and some denting.
