US MODEL 1873 TRAPDOOR SPRINGFIELD CADET RIFLE

SERIAL NUMBER: 98250. BARREL: 29 5/8". CALIBER: 45-70. It features two barrel bands, nose cap, cleaning rod, and standard 1873 rear sight. Lock is marked "US SPRINGFIELD" with eagle in center. Breech block is marked "US Model 1874". Barrel is Armory proofed VP Eaglehead P. SWP1888 showing. CONDITION: Smooth gray metal with good legends. Stock has wear and impressions. Stock has been sanded at some point. Action is crisp and the bore is clean with some pitting toward the muzzle. ANTIQUE
