U.S. Military M1 Bayonet and M7 Scabbard
A U.S. military M1 bayonet accompanied by an M7 scabbard, designed for use with the M1 Garand rifle. The bayonet is constructed with a 10-inch steel blade featuring a spear-point tip and a fuller running through the center of each side. The hilt consists of black ribbed plastic grips secured to the full tang by a single screw. A steel crossguard includes a muzzle ring, while the pommel houses a spring-loaded attachment mechanism. The ricasso of the blade contains stamped markings that are largely obscured by oxidation and are not legible. The scabbard is composed of a green-tinted fiberglass body with a steel throat. The front of the throat features an embossed circular mark containing the characters U.S. positioned over a flaming bomb ordnance symbol. The reverse of the scabbard throat includes an integrated M1910 wire belt hook for attachment to standard military web equipment.
