US Military Model 1917 Brown Leather Revolver Holster with Lanyard
A United States military issue right-hand hip holster constructed from smooth brown leather. The holster features a top fold-over flap secured by a single round brass stud. The body is formed from a single piece of leather with heavy-duty perimeter stitching. On the front face of the holster body, there is a literal embossed mark consisting of the characters U and S inside an oval border. The reverse side features a wide integrated belt loop secured to the main body by three circular brass rivets arranged in a vertical line. A single small circular ventilation or drainage hole is punched through the interior of the leather flap. Attached to the bottom toe of the holster via a leather loop is a matching braided leather lanyard with a knotted end. Based on the ruler in the fourth image, the leather body measures approximately 11 inches in total length. The flap measures approximately 4.5 inches across its widest point. Pickup is Monday, Nov. 9, from 11 am to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot, or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
