US Model 1898 Krag-Jorgensen Bolt Action Rifle With Bayonet .30-40 Krag
This Model 1898 Krag-Jorgensen rifle was made by Springfield Armory in 1901 and is chambered in .30 Army (.30-40 Krag). It features a blade style front sight and Model 1898 rear sight on a 30" barrel. The stock is fitted with stacking and sling swivels and a steel butt plate with empty storage compartment. The receiver is marked on the left side with "US Model 1898 Springfield Armory" with the magazine cutoff and bolt has a rear flag safety. The left wrist has a 1901 "JLA" inspection cartouche. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Stock shows honest wear with scratches. Mechanics are good. Some pitting on bayonet and butt plate.
