.30-40 Krag. 30" barrel length. SN: 310102. Blued and case hardened finishes. Walnut stock has a plain straight grip and forearm, with hand grooves, single barrel band, and four rivet handguard. Bolt action rifle with an M1901 adjustable folding ladder notch rear sight and pinned blade front sight. Item features an integrated 5-shot magazine, bayonet lug forend, triple stacking swivels, and a trapdoor buttplate void of contents. Markings include U.S./MODEL 1898 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY followed by serial number to receiver. Stock is marked with a boxed JSA/1907 Joseph S. Adams inspector cartouche and a circle P proof to bottom of grip.
