This is an authentic U.S. Navy WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) Commemorative Statue. The bronze sculpture depicts a World War II-era female service member wearing a structured skirt suit, a uniform combination hat, and carrying a shoulder handbag. The base bears the stamped signature "© FRED PRESS", a celebrated American mid-century sculptor and designer (1919–2012). In the 1990s, Press was officially commissioned to create historical bronze reliefs for the United States Navy Memorial in Washington, D.C. This scaled-down, limited-edition figure was cast from his original model and sold exclusively through the Navy Memorial shop. Height: 9.5 in.
