U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor Rifle in 45-70 cal. The barrel measures 32-5/8'' and is held by two barrel bands. The barrel is marked ''1873'' on breech lock, with barrel proof marks ahead of breech block. The stock has inspector's cartouche opposite lock plate and behind trigger guard tang. The barrel has light pitting on the outside while the bore retains good rifling. The rifle is in good plus condition, with cleaning rod. Serial # 145589. NICS check required.
