From the time of the American civil war, the single action ‘Army’ model was made from 1863 to 1865. Altogether, approximately 54,000 Starr revolvers were manufactured: - 1858 model, Double Action . 36 Caliber Percussion Navy Revolver (1 to 3000) - 1858 model, Double Action . 44 Caliber Percussion Army Revolver (3000 to 23,000) - 1863 model, Double Action . 44 Caliber Percussion Army Revolver (23,000 to 54,000) The serial number is 51087 and is marked on the frame (under the barrel and hammer) , under the butt plate and on the cylinder (hardly visible) . Marking on the frame: "STARR. ARMS. Co. NEW YORK” and “STARR'S PATENT JAN. 15. 1856. " No traces of oxidation, slight orange peel. The barrel interior is decent, the grooves are clearly visible and well-marked. Cylinder chambers are in good condition. Original plates in good condition. Good working condition, no play.
