Ulfert Wilke (American, 1907-1987)

Abstract composition, 1961. Gouache on handmade paper, signed and dated lower right, floated under glass with mat in a black satinwood frame, overall 22" x 27 ½".

Ulfert Wilke is known for his calligraphic creations in abstract, non-lettered configuration which form rhythmic cluster and shape open spaces. His creations are in watercolor, ink and acrylic.

Condition: Very good; scuffs to frame.
