Ulrike Arnhold - Kyniras II

Earth painting made on Cyprus in the year 1986 by the German artist Ulrike Arnhold. I got the earth painting from my uncle. He traded it personally with her around the 1990s for another work of art in Sydney. As far as we know the earth painting has never been framed. A number of sand grains are missing, very minuscule. Personal comment from Ulrike Arnhold: It's plages in Cyprus! Fantastic colours: the brown is real Umbra. . . that is Seldom and they have mines in Cyprus! Also the green has to do with copper. The word Cyprus has to do with copper. . . . A very historic area where is kyniras great with legend and mythology! The year I did all my Cyprus painting was 1986. The place of kyniras was not far from paphos.
