Unique Art Litho Tin Toy Li'l Abner Dogpatch Band

Li'l Abner Dogpatch 4 Band tin litho wind up toy. Characters from long running comic strip by Al Capp. Toy produced for many years starting around 1946 and still in production in the early 1950s. Toy consists of piano unit and four separate figures that attach to it. Piano is nicely illustrated on all sides including "Ole Man Mose" depicted on back. One side has poster for "Sadie Hawkins Day" and the front features sheet music for "Turnip Time By Li'l Abner." Figures are of Abner, Daisy Mae seated in front of the piano, Pappy Yokum as drummer and Mammy Yokum who sits on piano top holding baton. Toy measures approx. 10" x 8" x 5". Mammy Yokum on top of piano is missing hat & arms and did not move when played, other figures worked properly. Light paint loss & wear. Blackwell Auctions guarantees the authenticity of this item.
