The white South sea pearl is a variety of saltwater pearl, cultured in the silver-lipped Pinctada maxima oyster, mostly in ocean waters from Australia to Indonesia. Emerging from the tranquil waters of Australia, these big South Sea Pearls are near round and have a rich luxurious luster. The pearls have a blush of colour over the white body colour of the pearl. This overtone will warm up against any skin complexion and sparkle nicely. The sparkling overtones of these pearls are highly prized and have been carefully matched throughout the necklace. The necklace is a standard length of 46cm and is made with 33 cultured South Sea pearls that measure between 12. 2 and 15. 2mm in diameter, creating a statement with this luxurious size. The pearls that have been matched for this necklace have a very bright silky lustre with a very few light natural growth characteristics on the surface that do not detract from the elegance of the necklace. Individualy knotted between each pearl for safety, the necklace is completed with a secure invisible clasp. One end pearl receives a fine quality screw and the other end pearl a bolt mechanism. The clasp easily functions by gently twisting it counter clockwise to unlock, and clockwise to lock. Upon closure, the screws are fully hidden, offering a clean and elegant look.
