Reference: 22430
Case Material: Stainless Steel
Bracelet Material: Leather Strap
Year: 1940's
Movement: Manual
Caliber: 292
Case N°: 1193770
Movement N°: 260449
Dimensions: 46 mm

Among the most known Universal watches, the family of Tricompax, Bicompax and Compax certainly stands out, of which this lot is a magnificent representative. Very attractive and highly sought-after, the present reference 22430 stands out as an early and oversized steel chronograph. Dating to the mid 1940s, the watch has a diameter of 46 mm, a rarity for this time in production where few are known to the market. The massive stainless steel case with straight and solid lugs is a perfect example of excellent preservation given its still sharp edges and its square buttons of the chronograph almost untouched, presenting the engraving on the back “”Dr. M.V. Armstrong” still perfectly intact. The dial aged incredibly, presenting an outstanding quality, with outer tachometer scale, minutes and seconds track, the three sunken subsidiary dials, the applied dot and silvered 3,6,9 and 12 indexes and radium hands.

Estimate € 10000 - 20000
