Date: 16th century

Description: The image shows a page of a medieval manuscript. The manuscript reveals Gothic lettering characterised by its ornamental quality and careful proportioning. Coloured initials and accents in red and blue as well as more subtle pigments highlight certain areas of text that are presumably of particular importance. The parchment page appears aged, with characteristic traces of patina that emphasise the historical authenticity of the document. This copy was probably made in the later 16th century.
