Technique: Washed Pencil on Paper

Date: c. 1840

Description: Sculpture of the devil on the right inner side of the west portal of Regensburg Cathedral. A Regensburg legend tells that the devil is carved into the stone at the west portal of the cathedral, as is his grandmother opposite him. Shading and joints are drawn in fine pencil.
