Date: 19th century

Description: In the bust portrait, the French painter Nicolas Poussin meets the viewer and looks attentively at him. The depiction presumably goes back to a self-portrait by the Baroque painter from 1694-50, in which he confidently presents himself. Poussin's works are still among the most outstanding testimonies of his time.

Condition: Good condition. The corners of the sheet are bumped and partly slightly rubbed. Isolated pale discolourations and creases. Discolourations on the reverse. The image is not affected by this and makes a very good impression.
