Early 18th century large flintlock horse pistol dating from around 1720 in very good condition. The pistol has a smooth octagon barrel merging to round with smooth bore calibre 15 mm. The lock works well and the cock holds (with strong spring) the two positions. Wooden, full stock with a repair at the middle behind the lockplate. Smooth brass mounts and fine chiseled brass counter-plate with grotesque mask. Brass butt nicely decorated with a metal lock butt. Metal-tipped wooden ramrod.
