Unmarked Manhattan Firearms Revolver- Civil War
This example is unmarked, but due to various attributes is almost certainly an early "First model" .22 caliber revolver produced by Manhattan Firearms, which sought to compete with Colt and other leading firearm manufacturers during the Civil War era. This example would have been made in 1860/1861, near the onset of hostilities.
Gun is mechanically functional (the trigger doesn't hold occasionally), condition as shown. Serial number: 91 or 16. It's possible, due to the low serial number, that the gun isn't stamped with Manhattan Firearm's maker's mark because it's such an early example.
