An old landscape watercolor and ink painting on silk dating from the Ming dynasty or possibly earlier. The painting has 1 seal.
Dimensions are: 36 in. tall X 17 in. wide, 91.4 cm tall X 43.2 cm wide; 48 inches tall X 24 1/2 inches wide with the frame, 121.9 cm tall X 61 cm wide with the frame. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It has age wear.
Provenance: From the estate of a Silver Spring, Maryland woman whose father was Yu Jishi, a top Nationalist general and a close confidant of Chiang Kai-shek. Her father in law was Xiao Xingru, also a Nationalist general.
