Unsigned Chinese Painting of Women in Garden
A framed Chinese watercolor and ink painting on silk. The painting, which has two seals, depicts ten women in a courtly garden and interior setting. It is mounted on a silk backing.
Dimensions are: Painting measures 46 1/2 in. tall X 29 1/4 in. wide, 118.1 cm tall X 74.3 cm wide; Frame measures 59 1/4 in. tall X 37 in. wide, 150.5 cm tall X 94 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Very extensive repairs and minor staining.
Provenance: From a southern California collector, acquired in Hong Kong prior to immigration to US in the 1960s.
