Condition Report:
This work is in fair condition overall. There are tonal and textural variations to the surface of the work, inherent to the artist's working method. There is overall surface soiling and discoloration throughout. The canvas is loose on the stretcher and there are scatted areas of undulation and rippling to the canvas, most notably along the left edge. There are areas along the edges of the canvas which have come loose from the nails used for stretching. There is scattered surface cracking throughout, most notably in the central white area of thicker impasto. There is scattered pigment loss and cracking to the edges and corners, most notably in the upper left corner of the composition. Under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of restoration. Framed without glazing.
