Unusual Chinese “Pseudo-Tobacco leaf” teapot and cover. China Qianlong period (1736-1795) H. 14 cm. Of shouldered form with squared, bamboo-molded handle and spout, each side enameled with parrots on flowering branches. The form of the teapot, with bamboo-molded handle and spout is well known on “Tobacco Leaf” and “Pseudo-Tobacco Leaf” patterns. Condition : 1 hairline running at the base of the teapot, 1 very small hairline to the center of the cover.
