Uranium Glass Moon & Star Set: Signed Salt & Pepper Shakers & Lidded Dresser Box

This collection consists of three pieces of pressed yellow-green glass, commonly referred to as canary or vaseline glass, all of which exhibit a bright green fluorescence under ultraviolet light. The group includes a pair of salt and pepper shakers and a lidded oval dresser box, all featuring the Moon and Star pattern characterized by circular recessed medallions containing multi-pointed star motifs separated by vertical fluting and beaded accents.The pair of salt and pepper shakers are of baluster form with flared necks and bases. One shaker features a transparent glossy finish, while the other possesses a frosted satin finish. Both are fitted with screw-on chrome-plated metal lids with circular perforations. The base of the frosted shaker features an etched signature in cursive script reading John J. Weakland above the dates 1988-1998.
