Made of 18 karat (tested) yellow gold, the clip features a 13.15-carat cushion cut sapphire with Old European cut diamonds sprinkled around (total weight approximately 0.46 carat). The sapphire comes with a GIA Sapphire Origin Report stating that it comes from Sri Lanka and has no indications of heating.
The clip measures 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 1/2 inches (4 x 4 x 1.3cm) and weighs 27.7 grams.
The brooch is stamped with Van Cleef & Arpels New York maker's marks and a serial number.
In great condition; wear consistent with age and use (please see pictures for details).
