VERY RARE TEA SERVICE, BEAUTIES IN THE LOTUS GARDEN, ROSE CANTON, AROUND 1950, CHINA.

Description

Very rare Rose Canton tea set in a gift box, created around 1950 in China.

The gift box is covered with red, patterned fabric on which various plants, pagodas and figures can be seen.
It includes a small plate, 6 baskets and a teapot with lid.
All pieces are hand painted and each shows the same motif:
Two women, so-called beauties, standing at a balustrade in the middle of a lotus garden, which is indicated by the richly represented vegetation.
